P Summer House

Project Description:
This 170 m² summer house on the southeastern coast of Cyprus is designed around the core principle of indoor-outdoor living. The architecture is restrained and site-sensitive, offering a refined Mediterranean retreat rooted in climate, materiality, and light.

A continuous travertine wall organizes the plan and defines the central living spaces, while full-height openings and sliding doors create a seamless connection between inside and out. Outdoor areas—framed by timber pergolas and planted courtyards—act as extensions of the living spaces, reinforcing a spatial flow that encourages seasonal living.

The material palette is consistent and natural: honed travertine, pale timber, lime render. These surfaces extend across thresholds to dissolve boundaries and create a cohesive atmosphere. Landscape is integral to the experience, with olive trees, native planting, and a linear water element contributing to both microclimate and mood.

Key Architectural & Landscape Features:
– Travertine wall as spatial and compositional anchor
– Deep verandas and timber pergolas shaping outdoor rooms
– Seamless indoor-outdoor transitions via sliding glazed openings
– Unified material palette across interior and exterior surfaces
– Mediterranean planting and integrated water feature
